It's that time of year again when Santa Claus is making his list and checking it twice.

 

Of course, if like our own Miss Lixx, your behaviour in 2012 has tended to stray more into the naughty category than the nice, then you may not get what you want from Santa Claus.

 

Admittedly there's every chance that a fat old man with a beard is going to find you suitably dishy and divine, but there's not much chance that he's going to shower you with expensive prezzies and treat you like a princess.

Sparkling In Leeds

This week sees the last Leeds First Friday event of 2012.

 

The December event is always one of the highlights of the year with the chance for girls to break out their new party frocks and let their hair down.

Red Carpets & Red Frocks

It's that time of year again when we get to step out from behind the Glamour & Sparkle stall, break out the ballgowns and tiaras and let our hair down.

Saturday is the 4th Enigma Ball at Bletchley Park, an event that has firmly established itself as one of the highlights of any girl's social calendar.

Organised by the fantastic Kathy Martin, the Enigma Ball is not be missed.

One might go as far as to call it Must See TV!

It's a night for killer heels, gorgeous gowns, enough diamante to light up the darkest of winter nights and everything that sparkles - whether that's champagne, bright eyes, jewellery, or if you're really lucky someone with a bit of wit, charm and sophistication.

But most of it all it's about the frocks, so grab your favourite gown and head for the red carpet for a night to remember.

Swansea Sparkle

It's a big weekend for the Glamour & Sparkle team.

Not only are we taking the glamour to Rotherham for the Beaumont Society's 21st anniversary weekend, we are thrilled to announce that we will also be taking part in the inaugural Swansea Sparkle festival.

This promises to be a wonderful day out for everyone at the magnificent Brangwyn Hall. The day gets underway at 11am and is expected to roll on past midnight, so don't forget to rest those tootsies when you get the chance!

As ever we will be bringing a wide range of items with us for you to enjoy. In addition to handbags, earrings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces - pretty much everything a girl could possibly need on the jewellery and accessory  front - we will also have an assortment of glamorous evening sets and tiaras that are just perfect for the party season.

We will also have Miss Lexie Lixx making her bow (that should be curtsy, surely?) as a salesgirl so make sure you come along and say hello.

Rotherham Glamour

On Saturday November 17 Glamour & Sparkle are delighted to announce that we will be at the Beaumont Society Weekend in Rotherham.

This is the 21st anniversary of one of the biggest events in the calendar and promises to be a fantastic weekend, with plenty of opportunities to glam up and enjoy Saturday night's Diamonds & Tiaras theme.

We will have our customary wide range of jewellery for you to peruse at your leisure, an outstanding selection of tiaras and evening sets that will be just perfect for Saturday night, as well as some special festive items that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face this Christmas.

Diamonds And Demons

It's close to that time of year again where failing to dress up in something suitably outrageous and fun is little short of a dereliction of one's duty as a girl.

The occasional pair of comfy shoes can be excused as a necessary evil and Bridget Jones pants can be regarded as just about acceptable in the direst wardrobe emergency.

However, when a girl turns her back on Halloween and passes up the chance to cast a spell over her dream man, then she forfeits her basic Female Rights.

Female Rights are a bit like Human Rights only more fun (and have absolutely nothing to do with real witches like Cherie Blair).

A girl's inalienable Female Rights include the right to bear mascara and lipstick; the right to carry a gorgeous handbag and the right not only to wear, but to look damn good in doing so, a short skirt.

Anyway, it's Halloween. So it's a time for naughty witches and sexy bitches, for slutty pumpkins and girls who like sins, for Snow Whites and Cinderellas and the girls who like the fellas to break out their most outrageous fancy dress costumes and enjoy a night to remember.

Of course, anyone can wear a costume. But can they accessorise it correctly?

Somewhere in the back of her wardrobe, our very own Lexie Lixx has a glamorous musketeer outfit - the girl has always been rather adept at handling a sword. On its own the outfit makes her look like the darling of 17th century Paris.

Not that he'd have much luck; our girl may have a penchant for French lingerie and perfume but when it comes to the French themselves it's a definite, "Non, monsieur," with the possibility of a, "Peut-etre, mademoiselle," depending on how much Chardonnay she's sunk.

Eastbourne Bound

With the days getting shorter - good news for all the girls who like to party all night - it's the perfect time to head to the coast to catch a little late Autumn sun.

This weekend the magical Glamour & Sparkle boutique will be appearing in Eastbourne for the Transliving Autumn Weekend.

The event runs from Friday afternoon through to Sunday evening at the picturesque Haddon Hall Hotel and is regarded as one of the highlights of the calendar.

Glamour & Sparkle will be in residence from 11:00am at Haddon Hall on Saturday and we have some fantastic new items for you to look over at your leisure, including our range of Halloween goodies that are guaranteed to raise an eyebrow or two.

For those of you who prefer your jewellery understated, we will have a wide assortment of rings, necklaces and earrings on display so there's sure to be something that catches your eye.
