You might fear for my reason, I don't care what they say, look out baby it's the season, for the mad masquerade.
Appropriately enough it was that legendary queen, the one and only Freddie Mercury, who penned those sentiments. One can only assume La Mercury would have given his whole-hearted approval to this Friday's Transgender Masquerade Ball.
Held at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Leeds, a familiar venue to all those who have previously sampled the delights of Leeds First Friday, this promises to be an extravagant and unmissable night out.
It's a night for ball gowns, glass slippers, plumes, feathers, boas, false eyelashes and the most ostentatious accessories you can lay your hands on.
After all, if you don't get your outfit just right, you can hardly expect anyone to be desperate to lay their hands on you.
Needless to say the best laid plans of girls and glamour queens tend to go wrong from time to time and there's every chance that you'll have left something behind in your bid to create the perfect outfit.
Fear not!
Should you experience a last minute wardrobe malfunction or discover that you've mislaid an earring or simply decide that your flashest frock deserves a more lustrous accompaniment, that legendary one stop shop you just can't top, the Glamour & Sparkle boutique, will be on hand to provide assistance and succour in your hour of need.
We will be in the foyer of the Cosmopolitan from 2:00-5:30 and will have a wide selection of items that no girl should be without on a night like this.
Whether you're looking for an evening set or the latest word in diamante chic, we're sure you will find what you are looking for at our boutique to ensure you are the belle of the ball.
See you on Friday!
